Potassium Feldspar

This mineral is a member of the feldspar group, containing potassium. It is an essential ingredient for ceramic glazes for medium and high temperatures. The melting point of potassium feldspar is around 1200C, and its melt is more viscous than that of sodium feldspar. A crystallized phase (leucite) can also be formed, which contributes to opacity. As a result, potash feldspar is often employed to produce matte glazes in the industry. It is highly demanded in building and construction, automotive, medical, and other industries. It is available in three forms, chips, powder and lumps.
